Christmas is banned in Greenlawn when the town’s annual decorating contest becomes an obsessive, victory at any cost competition. The town’s decorating passions are inflamed by Norbert Bridges (Matt McCoy), a writer and new resident, who maniacally goads neighbors into a fanatical, “must win” mentality so he can study them like lab rats for his new book on human behavior. As the spirit of Christmas in Greenlawn is replaced by town ordinances and arrests for ‘committing acts for Christmas,” Norbert realizes he’s gone too far and must do everything he can to restore peace on earth and good will toward men.
